Television Debut

So Joe had his television debut on Sunday!!!! I didn't get to see it, but on my search of the Internet I was able to find it. I have put the link in here on our page. Just look under the link column. I am so proud of him! He has worked so very hard to get where he is today. He loves his job as the Executive Chef at the Butterfly here in Salt Lake City. He is one of those lucky people that comes home every day no matter how bad the day was and still loves it. I had to include this picture. It is from a Def Leppard concert that he catered at this past summer. He is just so dang cute! Love my man! Keep up the good work my love!

Another Fun Weekend!!!

We were lucky enought to spend another great weekend with Joe's brother, Jared and his wife Andi. And of course all of the kids too! But this time they came up to our house from St. George.
We put the girls in the baby's room,

and everyone else down in the basement. Not only am I glad that everyone came up but it forced me to get the basement cleaned up in a hurry. It still needs some work but if anyone should come and visit there is a place to sleep. It was a most b-e-a-u-tiful weekend. The temp was up around sixty! We haven't seen that in months!!!! But of course this morning we woke up to about four inches of snow. BLAH! Anyhow...we spent a few hours at

Historic Wheeler Family Farm on Saturday. We have lived here for a year and a half and never been. It was a lot of fun....especially with the kids. We saw various hoursed, milking cows, bunnies, sheep, geese and ducks galore, and chickens. I am pretty sure that the kids had a great time. There were some old tractors that they were able to climb all over. It is always fun to hang out with their family. The kids are so dang cute and are always making us laugh by something that they have said.

On Sunday Joe and I were called in to meet with the Bishop of our ward before Church started. We finally got callings! Yeah!!!! Every week I ask Joe, "so do you think that we will get a calling this week?". I think that I was starting to drive him a little nuts-o. For those of you who might be asking what a calling is....I'll tell ya. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints everyone receives a calling or some sort of job/assistance that they can give to the Church and it's members. This "calling" is received thru prayer to the Bishop from our Father in Heaven. So I received a calling of Secretary in the Relief Society Presidency. The Relief Society is the largest organization of women in the world. As part of our meetings on Sunday we as women gather together to have a lesson. Joe received a calling of the Secretary in the Sunday School Presidency. He is going to help out with all of the Sunday School classes making sure that the teachers have all of the tools that they may need. We are both very excited with our callings and glad that we get a chance to help out with the people in our congregation.

Baby's Room

I hope that everyone had a great weekend! After having all of the baby's furniture for a couple of weeks we finally got it put together this weekend. Joe said that he wouldn't put any together until I had the room painted....but I guess persistance and my good looks paid off! Just kidding! I've always heard these horror stories about it taking forever to get the crib together. I guess I just have a super handy hubby cause he put it together in no time at all. I know you wish that you were all as lucky as I am! Now I just need to decide on colors and get to painting. I pretty sure about what I want to do but I seem to have a hard time making decisions about anything lately (let's blame that on the pregnancy!). We have decided on a theme for the room. In the background of the picture you can see a couple of things. It is going to be a Cape Cod type of theme....sailboats, anchors, lighthouses, etc... It should be a lot of fun to finish.

St. George

We spent a nice (warm) weekend in St. George, Utah this past weekend. Our niece, Sydney, turned eight a couple of weeks ago so she was baptized a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. So we all converged on Jared and Andi's house. Mom Davis, Heather, Grandpa Mann, and Esther and her son Benjamin all came from California. Add in Joe and myself along with the nine people that already live there and you have one full house! But it is always so much fun to get to hang out with the family since we all live in different places. And especially fun for Joe who got to hang out with his brother Jared.

On Saturday we went to Snow Canyon and had a picnic lunch. It was so warm! At least warmer than it has been here in Salt Lake. It was beautiful and the kids had a great time playing on the sand dunes. I've included a few pictures....

So we have joined the rest of the blogging world and created this site! We figured (or maybe I should say I...Kim) that this would be the best way for our friends and family to find out the latest and greatest in our lives. I've seen some of yours out there and it looks like such a great idea. And with our new addition coming shortly...what better way to brag!!!!!

Love to you all and we will update more in a bit!
