Thankful Thursday

1. I'm thankful for a husband that sends me romantical text messages throughout the day. It brightens my day. (Don't tell him I told you!)

2. I'm thankful to have a place to call home. I love our little house. I am thankful that I have a roof over my head and the heads of my family. These are hard times and I am thankful that we have a place to sleep, eat, and enjoy one another.

3. Along with being thankful for our home...I'm thankful for my job. Again with the economy I thank Heavenly Father each and everyday that I am employed. **Since people have been asking I'll update about Joe his employment shortly**

Snow Day

We received a bit of snow today. And for the first time EVER I built a snowman!
Of course with the help of Joe and Zachary, I can finally cross this off of my "things to do before I die" list.
Joe putting the final touches on.
Stick 'em up!
Then we remembered that we had a sled in the garage that we found on the side of the road in Park City a few years ago. We pulled Zachary around and around the yard.
It was such a fun day!

Thankful Thursday

1. I am especially thankful for straws. More specifically those bendy straws. Joe bought a huge package of them a couple of weeks ago. And if it wasn't for those bendy straws Zachary would not have gotten any fluids when he was sick. He refused to drink from any of his cups. I was worried that he wasn't getting enough liquids and Joe whipped out a straw and a cup. Zachary drank so much! This is now his preferred way to drink anything.
2. I'm thankful for the inspired leadership of the Church and for our ward/congregation. I know that these men and women receive guidance from our Heavenly Father.

I've Been Crafty

I've been crafty the last couple of days. I don't have any V-day decorations and came across this here. It looked fairly easy to do...and it was! I think that the most important thing is that Joe loves it! Every time he walks by it he says, "That looks really good!" and that makes me feel really good.

They Just Don't Make 'Em Like They Used To

When my parents were moving my Grandma into the nursing home several years ago we received the task of cleaning out her house. I think that she saved everything! We found magazines that were 20 years old, magazine clippings that were so old they had turned yellow, I could go on and on. But my treasure find was this Fisher Price record player. I'm sure that my cousins and sister remember it. I remember playing with this thing for hours at Grandma and Poppy's house when I was little. This thing has got to be at least 30 years old. I pulled it out a month or two ago for Zachary to play with. He LOVES it! Unfortunately, as of last night I could only find two of the four records that came with it. He carries the whole thing around the house with him. In fact we went to a neighbor's house for dinner on Sunday and he took it with him! This is the most undestructable toy I have ever seen...he bangs it against walls, drops if off of the coffee table, and pushes it across the floor. I wish that all of his toys would last as long as this one has....They just don't make toys like they used to.
