When my parents were moving my Grandma into the nursing home several years ago we received the task of cleaning out her house. I think that she saved everything! We found magazines that were 20 years old, magazine clippings that were so old they had turned yellow, I could go on and on. But my treasure find was this Fisher Price record player. I'm sure that my cousins and sister remember it. I remember playing with this thing for hours at Grandma and Poppy's house when I was little. This thing has got to be at least 30 years old. I pulled it out a month or two ago for Zachary to play with. He LOVES it! Unfortunately, as of last night I could only find two of the four records that came with it. He carries the whole thing around the house with him. In fact we went to a neighbor's house for dinner on Sunday and he took it with him! This is the most undestructable toy I have ever seen...he bangs it against walls, drops if off of the coffee table, and pushes it across the floor. I wish that all of his toys would last as long as this one has....They just don't make toys like they used to.

Wow, seeing that picture brings back so many good memories. I loved playing with those record players.
Thanks for the blog award, I need to post on my blog still!
I remember always wanting one of those. I love all the other fisher price toys from long ago.
That brings back all kinds of memories. Janette had one of those when she was little. I always thought it was the coolest toy! I'm happy to know that the next generation is just as taken with it.
I loved this toy!!! I didn't have one, but my cousin did!!! Ahhhh, brings back memories!
I do remember that thing--how cool is it to have one of our children playing with one of our toys. Glad grandma kept it all those years--was certainly worth it to see Zachary play with it! She would love it!
How funny! You know the one toy I wish was still around for our kids from Grandma and Grandpas...remember the car thing for outside...it moved by turning the handles on both sides! I LOVED that car! I always wish we still had that thing!
