Yeaaaaaah for WARMER Weather!

FINALLY! We have had some warmer weather. At least warm enough to get out of the house for a little bit. We have a park relatively close to our house and Zachary go on walks there quite often. This past week we went 3 or 4 times. I cannot wait for Spring and Summer. Zachary loves loves loves the swing. He just giggles and giggles every time I push him. Since he is crawling now I thought that I would let him have a go on the grass. He did not want any part of the grass. It was the funniest thing. I tried to stand him up in the grass and he kept raising his legs up so that his feet would not touch the grass. So then I sat him down and he would not put his hands on the grass so that he could get into the crawling position. Funny little guy...I'm sure that will go away soon. I hope.

California Trip Part 2

The second part of our trip to Cali we spent at Mother D's. Zachary sure does love his Grandma! Esther came with her two boys, Ben and Peter. And Rebecka came with her whole family. Zachary loved playing with his cousins.
I going to have to buy this boy some Legos very soon. But of course you can't claim to be a Davis without owning some Legos! Zachary, Peter and Brandon spent most of their time on the floor playing with said Legos. Cute boys!

Here is Zachary, Brandon (Rebekah's youngest) and Peter (Esther's youngest) all lined up in a row eating dinner one night. I think that Zachary got so used to having other kids around during the trip that he was a little lonely when we got back home. But nevertheless, we had a great trip home....minus the weather. Did I mention that it rained the whole time we were there? Blah! Although, we did get to see the beach and sunshine as we were driving to the airport to come home. Gee....I guess that means we will just have to go back when there is some guaranteed sunshine!

California Trip Part 1

I guess I should finally post about our trip to California. We've been home for about 2 weeks now. Zachary and I spent the first part of our trip at my parent's house. Zachary was an angel on the flight. He slept for half which I expected then looked at bunch of his books the rest of the time. He became the clingy child while we were there. He had a hard time going to anyone except for me and my dad....lucky Poppy (as we fondly call him)! He took a while to warm up to my mom and sister. Very unlike him. But I guess pull him away from everything he knows and change his schedule around and that will happen.
I could not believe how big my niece Montana is getting! She is turning five this week. Where does the time go?! She certainly had a blast with Zachary. Always wanting to do something with him.

As you can see in the above picture she is trying her best to pick him up. Now matter how much she crowded him he was always happy to see her. He was probably thinking, "finally a smaller person to play with me!" I even promised her that we could have a sleep over and that she could sleep in the same room with Zachary and I. What was I thinking!? At one point I had her and Zachary in bed with me. Did I mention that it was twin bed? Oy vay
My parents loved spending time with their only grandson and I know that they were sad to see us go. Don't worry guys....we'll see you in June!
Did I mention that Zachary is crawling now?! He chased my sister's cat all over the house. At least he made a good attempt to. I guess the cat gave him good motivation to move around. So there was a short summary of the first part of our trip. I'll find more time later to post the rest.

President's Day Weekend

Andi, Jared, and the kids came up for President's Day Weekend. They came up the same weekend last year too...hopefully we have a little tradition started?! We had so much fun while they were here. We spent some time at
Temple Square and in the Visitor Centers. And we also went to the Church History Museum as well. Some of the kids were asking about President Hinkley's gravesite so we drove up to the cemetary to find it. I'm so grateful that we went. People are still leaving flowers and there was even a cane left as well. We had such a great time while they were here and Zachary enjoyed seeing his cousins. They are going to be back next week for Spring Break. Yipeeee!!! See you guys soon!
